The National Fenestration Rating Council Board of Directors approved three NFRC documents that are now open for public review according to the American National Standards Institute’s process. The public review and comment period is scheduled to run from May 10 to June 24, 2024.
The documents to be submitted for public review, comment and the full ANSI consensus process are:
- NFRC 100: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product U-factors
- NFRC 200: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and Visible Transmittance at Normal Incidence
- NFRC 500: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Condensation Index Ratings
The Standards Action announcement marking the beginning of the open public comment period for the documents appeared on May 10, 2024. The documents are available electronically for the comment period (45 days), ending on June 24, 2024.
