A symposium was recently held to support the growing acceptance of lamination on construction products as a decorative and performance enhancement in several markets.
The event was sponsored by Wrap-Tak of Newark, Ohio, who is the U.S. distributor for WPR / TAKA products and was hosted by Blue Inc., a contract laminator at their facility in Conover, North Carolina.
The attendees were offered a full day of educational and hands-on sessions about all facets of profile lamination.

Machine manufacturer WPR showed all details of modern profile wrapping equipment, the process and the overall advantages of this fast-growing solution.
The company TAKA that supplies adhesives and primers to the industry discussed different types of materials and their advantages. They also informed guests how to properly perform in-process quality control of the lamination process.
American RENOLIT presented a full range of different types of films for multiple applications, different substrates and a variety of end-use products.
The event included hands-on equipment demos on the production floor. This allowed the hosts and presenters to let visitors see first-hand the real-world application of the information provided. There will be discussions to generate another such event in the future.
