The National Fenestration Rating Council Board of Directors approved two NFRC documents—NFRC 200: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and Visible Transmittance at Normal Incidence, and NFRC 500: Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product Condensation Index Ratings—which are now open for public review according to the American National Standards Institute’s process. The public review and comment period are scheduled to run to April 8, 2024.

The announcement that these documents are open to public comment appeared in Standards Action on Feb. 23, 2024, marking the beginning of the open public comment period. With the documents being available electronically (via the links above), the comment period is 45 days, ending on April 8, 2024.
