According to a WARN Act notice, Quanex Building Products Corp. is closing its Mikron brand plant. Mikron is a manufacturer of vinyl and composite window and door components and portfolio brands. The plant is located at 100 Mikron Way, Richmond, Kentucky.
This closure is expected to happen on or around Aug. 6, 2024, and almost all positions will be impacted. The plant closure will be conducted in a phased approach. Employment separations will commence on or after June 7, 2024.
