QūB is introducing smart hardware designed to easily and invisibly fit in most casement windows. Standard QūB Smart Technology includes both operators and locks.
QūB uses Internet of Things technologies for true "smart home" connectivity; homeowners can operate their casement windows with a phone app, as well as checking their windows when they're away from home. Windows automatically adjust based on thermostat settings, temperature and even available weather information.
"This is the only technology that lets you control your windows remotely. It's a first for the industry," says John Micinski, vice president of QūB. "An on-board rain sensor will automatically close your windows when raindrops are detected. The smart hardware adjusts to each installation."
The technology uses a low voltage, two-wire connection that is easy for home builders to install.
"We see this becoming a standard technology for homes everywhere. It's the future of residential and commercial design and we are excited to lead the way," says Micinski.
