This year, at the 19th International Trade Press Day of the Roto Group, Marcus Sander, CEO of Roto Frank Window and Door Technology (FTT) provided an overview of 2024.
What Sander has to say
“We expanded our customer base and market share in 2024 despite a weak construction market in many countries.” Sander is convinced that Roto FTT’s broad product portfolio and expertise will continue to attract window and door manufacturers to partner with Roto. Additionally, the product range includes innovative solutions for global trends, making Sander “optimistic about the future.”
"Roto FTT recognizes the prevailing trend towards larger windows and doors with increased electronically supported operating convenience, maximum air tightness, burglary inhibition and sustainability. Concealed hardware, for example, supports design-orientated windows. Good design, high security and ease of operation undoubtedly work as an incentive to buy new windows and doors,” says Sanders. "Additionally, most of Roto’s hardware product ranges can be used in very narrow profiles and offer a wide range of applications for all frame materials. Roto FTT can also support manufacturers with customized hardware and weatherseal solutions.”
“As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hardware technology and weatherseals, Roto FTT supplies perfectly matched components for high impermeability,” Sander continued in his presentation. The “perfect match” of hardware and weatherseals is an attractive offer to customers worldwide. The company subjects all products to numerous durability and functionality tests before launch. Customers also benefit from product development geared towards ease of assembly and economical installation, as many components can be used for different opening types and systems.
Sander continued that Roto FTT’s investments in energy, safety and modern production facilities serve both sustainability and reliability. The company is continuously working on generating its own electricity and heat while additional projects to increase efficiency through digitalization and automation are being pursued at the manufacturing plants. “Whether automated conveyor systems or the use of artificial intelligence, the list of our Industry 4.0 projects is long,” says Sander.
Sander emphasized that Roto FTT will continue to focus on providing customers with the best possible support. The global presence of Roto FTT creates added value for companies that want to expand into new markets.
“We are responsible for approximately 4,000 employees, and they rely on us to provide corporate security, appreciation, and a positive working environment,” says Sander. Roto continues to expand its wide range of development programs to support further professional and personal development.
Regarding the “BAU” in Munich in January 2025, Sander says, “We will be showing innovations for sleek and modern aluminum windows and doors in “Roto City” and highlighting tightly sealed sliding systems with a new hardware product range for our Roto Patio program. We will also address ease of operation and burglary inhibition with and without electronics. Roto FTT offers hardware, weatherseals and glazing technology for elements of all opening types and all frame materials all over the world. A visit to ‘Roto City’ is therefore worthwhile for any window and door manufacturer.”
