Scott Renke Retires from Windsor Windows & Doors

RenkeWindsor Windows & Doors’ Director of Sales Scott Renke will retire at the end of 2024 after 22 years with the company.

“My time at Windsor has been very rewarding, not only for what we have accomplished together but because of the close relationships I have forged with our customers and team members. Those friendships will last forever. I have much to be thankful for. I am especially grateful to my longtime friend, Mark Rieser, for hiring me 22 years ago, and to everyone at Windsor for allowing me to help grow the company into one of the premier window and door companies in the U.S.,” says Renke.

Renke’s career

Renke began his career in the window and door industry in 1988 by answering an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle seeking a window and door sales specialist for a company called Building Materials Distributor. He worked with this company from 1988 to 1992, covering the Southern portion of the San Francisco Metro area and traveling as far south as Monterey, California. In 1992, he accepted a position at Caradco Window and Doors, becoming the district sales manager for the state of California. He was then promoted to the Western division manager in 1995 and served in that role until 2002. He was hired by Windsor Windows & Doors in November 2002 as the Western division sales manager. In 2010, he was promoted to director of sales and relocated to Iowa.

Comments from his colleagues

“I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Scott throughout his 22-year Windsor career and am grateful for our times together, not just as work colleagues but as friends, which will carry on well beyond retirement. I am happy he and Michele are able to retire in good health, allowing them to travel and spend more time with family. I wish them nothing but the best,” says Bill Tindell, director of product development, Windsor Windows & Doors.

“I have known and worked with Scott for 30 years. Over three decades, he has been a strong customer advocate and has built lasting relationships with hundreds of people in our industry. He has been an outstanding leader and valued member of our leadership team. His big personality, witty sense of humor and overall contribution to Windsor will be missed. Scott can be proud he has built a strong and resilient sales organization. Scott has always led with a strong moral compass, integrity, passion and tireless work ethic. Quite simply, he bleeds Windsor blue, and we have been very fortunate to have him representing our company,” says Mark Rieser, president, Woodgrain’s Window Division.
