WDMA Announces Policy Session Speakers for Spring Meeting & Legislative Conference
The Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) announced that Marc Freedman and Jim Tobin will be the policy speakers at this year’s Legislative Conference, which will be held in Washington, D.C. from March 29 to 31, 2023.
What will be discussed
Marc Freedman, vice president, Employment Policy, U.S. Chamber of Commerce will focus on the outlook for labor and workforce policy in the 118th Congress. He will discuss key issues, emerging trends and legislative solutions to address nationwide labor shortages that are impacting construction and manufacturing sectors in the midst of a tight labor market and the lowest unemployment rate in more than half a century.
Jim Tobin, executive vice president and chief lobbyist, National Association of Home Builders, will give his perspective on what may or may not be achievable in this divided Congress, discuss the key issues that may come up and how the housing industry can work together to advance key initiatives.
