YKK AP America Inc. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of its first greenfield residential manufacturing facility in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia.
About the event and facility
The event was held in Macon with Commissioner Pat Wilson of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Mayor Lester Miller of Macon-Bibb County, Chairman Robby Fountain of the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, and other local leaders in attendance.
The facility completed construction in December 2023 and began operations in January 2024. It currently employs more than 250 employees in the Macon community.
