Deceuninck North America announced that its operations meet the compliance criteria of +Vantage Vinyl, an initiative to advance the U.S. vinyl industry’s contribution to sustainable development. This verification ensures that Deceuninck North America’s production processes meet the most stringent standards of the Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC) and GreenCircle Certified.
Deceuninck's efforts
Deceuninck says it has earned +Vantage Vinyl verification thanks to its efforts with regard to greenhouse gas reduction, water conservation, sourcing green electricity, phasing out fuel oil, sourcing lower carbon-intensive PVC resin, a comprehensive recycling program, a diverse workforce, charitable community efforts and more.
+Vantage Vinyl verification is the latest acknowledgment for Deceuninck North America in a series of endeavors the organization has undertaken to become a more sustainable manufacturer and stronger corporate citizen. This includes setting goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the next three decades in accordance with the Science Based Targets initiative. In addition, for a 10th year, Deceuninck’s closed-loop window extrusions are GreenCircle certified, remaining the only GreenCircle-certified PVC window supplier in the world.
What Deceuninck says
“Earning the +Vantage Vinyl verification is another feather in our cap highlighting our dedication to a sustainable production process,” says Joren Knockaert, president and CEO, Deceuninck North America. “Our approach dictates how we source materials, how we design and manufacture products, and how those products are shipped and delivered, and we are proud to be recognized by VSC and GreenCircle for our efforts.”
