Milgard Windows & Doors Participates in Habitat for Humanity Build Day
Milgard Windows & Doors team members volunteered their time and labored alongside the future homeowner of a Tyler Court home in support of Tacoma/Pierce County Washington Habitat for Humanity build day. The Habitat for Humanity house features energy efficient Milgard Style Line Series vinyl windows.
"It was a smaller group than usual, due to COVID safety protocols, but we were so honored to work side by side with the future homeowner family as they completed their sweat-equity time," says Tim Large, pricing manager at Milgard Windows & Doors.
"The Milgard team is one we can count on faithfully year after year," says Tracey Sorenson, director of community engagement. "They always bring a positive attitude and work hard no matter what random tasks we have for them."
This was the eighth consecutive year that Milgard employees participated in a Habitat for Humanity Build Day.
"It was wonderful to have the opportunity to volunteer with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity as part of the Milgard team. It's gratifying to see we are able to help out families in need of housing, especially during such a challenging time," says Melody Zhang, VP of human resources at Milgard Windows & Doors. "All each of us can do is little, but together, it is significant. We are so proud to see Milgard windows in these homes that help bring functionality and beauty into the homeowners' lives."
