Brian Miller, president and CEO of ProVia, issued an email to ProVia customers about the coronavirus. He assured customers that ProVia is monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and taking steps to protect the health and safety of its customers, employees and families.
The email shared the following key takeaways as it relates to this situation:
- We have not experienced widespread delays or backorders of raw materials. There have been a few instances of extended lead times from our suppliers. However, in most cases our stateside inventories will ensure uninterrupted service to our customers.
- All Customer Experience teams are fully staffed and stand ready to assist you with your day-to-day needs, as well as any exceptional situations that may arise.
- We have instructed all employees, including our sales team and truck drivers, to take basic precautionary steps to help prevent exposure to, and the transmission of COVID-19. This includes closely following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and encouraging employees to stay home when sick.
- We’ve asked our sales team to use the cdc.gov website as their reference when making decisions about their daily schedules and travel. We have not restricted their travel.
- We are using the cdc.gov website as the source of our information. In particular, we are keeping close watch of the Case Count Chart found at the bottom of this page. We believe it serves as the best measure of the status of the situation.
- Everyone at ProVia is committed to providing the level of service our customers have come to expect from us.
