YKK AP to invest $125 Million in New Residential Products Manufacturing Facility
YKK AP America Inc. will invest up to $125 million in an expansion that will include a new residential window and door manufacturing facility and additional machinery and equipment in Macon, Georgia. The facility will serve as a model plant for the company’s future North American manufacturing plants, featuring advanced sustainable manufacturing and enhanced work environments for employees.
YKK AP’s residential products business has been headquartered in Macon since it was established in 2007. The company currently employs more than 250 employees in Macon who will relocate to the new facility once complete. With this expansion, the company will also add over 100 new jobs over the next few years.
JE Dunn Construction will serve as the construction manager for the facility and SSOE Group will serve as architects and engineers. YKK AP plans to break ground on the new facility in October of this year.
The facility is scheduled to be operational by the first quarter of 2024.
