May National Associates Inc., based in Lakewood, N.J., is resuming production of PRC insulating glass sealants, having acquired a license to produce the line from PPG Industries, which announced plans to exit the business at the end of last year. Architects say durability is the most important attribute for a green building product, according to a recent survey commissioned by PPG Industries. Stürtz Machinery is moving to a new manufacturing facility at the end of June. The new site in Twinsburg, Ohio, offers a larger manufacturing plant floor and overhead crane capacity, which was lacking in the supplier's current location in nearby Solon, Ohio.
Unlike the current Stürtz facility, the new location was built specifically as a manufacturing plant.
