The 82 Series Window System by Veka is a window system of slider, casement and picture windows designed for performance. The system’s 1 3/8-inch maximum glass thickness allows for the windows to be triple glazed while maintaining enough spacing for thermal performance, say company officials. Key features of the system include a 4 9/16-inch frame depth, an all-welded frame and sash, a full complement of accessory profiles, an interior glazed frame and an exterior glazed sash. The Ply Gem West Pro Series 700 casement and awning windows are being enhanced with dark vinyl exterior colors including black and bronze. The color technology, created exclusively for the Western U.S., is coextruded over the core profile, reflecting sunlight and allowing UV light to pass through in order to limit heat absorption. The co-extruded dark layers are available with a white interior.
