Pella Corp. Donates $60k During Annual Awards

The Pella Rolscreen Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Pella Corp., named team member Stacy De Jong as the 2024 winning recipient of the Joan Kuyper Farver Spirit Award, awarding a $25,000 grant in her name to Journey Up Mentoring of Pella for Kids in Pella.

About the award

Established in 2018, the Joan Kuyper Farver Spirit Award honors Pella team members who demonstrate a passion for community service. The winner received a $25,000 grant for the nonprofit organization of their choice, and runners-up received a $5,000 grant for their selected organizations.

De Jong's contributions

Stacy De Jong was nominated by her peers, citing such activities as volunteering for Tulip Time and serving as the president of the Pella Business Women’s Club, as well as her leadership behind the scenes with After Prom and concessions for athletics and the arts. De Jong selected JUMP for Kids as the recipient of her award because of its mission to connect children with trained adult mentors who help them reach their potential.

“Giving back is at the heart of Pella’s culture. The Joan Kuyper Farver Spirit Award celebrates team members who go above and beyond in their communities,” says Jessica Klyn de Novelo, community relations and foundation manager at Pella Corp. “Stacy exemplifies what it means to give selflessly and inspire others through her actions. We are proud to celebrate her contributions and positive impact on the Pella community.”
